Has the Likud party become a Terrorist Organisation? (Dialog with Datsun, vol. 4)

My friend Datsun has posted this comment (August 7), to which I wanted to elaborate:

Avner,
I’m very disappointed by you In you’re reply to Dan.
It’s look like if someone don’t agreed with your views, he is low life’s low IQ
And none worthy living , in the view of your great leader (Stalin )send them all to....
Or like China doing doing today sending there Muslims to camp for Education.
Bravo Avner.

My reply:

My dear Datsun,

I think that you got me wrong.

I did not claim that this creep Dan Friedman was a low-life retarded, just for his political views.
As you know, having views different than mine is perfectly OK with me.
I just suggested, that this Friedman was stupid, because to any of my detailed arguments, and replied with single-word defamation. This is why.

I actually enjoy arguing with educated, to-the-point rivals (such as yourself!).

The above is actually good news for me, because it points out that those imbeciles are extinct-to-be breeds.
I don't need to worry about them, because the process of Evolution by Natural Selections will take care of them (you know, this process that they know nothing about, because they are too busy studying "intelligent design", or whatever they want to call this stupid "theory").

Good luck to them being so stupid.

Cheers,
Avner E.

So Datsun said:

Avner,
I don’t understand how can you compare, the Likud party with Hizbollah?
The Likud in power cause is election, who elect Mohamed?
I understand you don’t like the prime minister, but the comparison is unacceptable.

I said:

Dear Datsun,

I can prove to you, that the Likud party has become a terrorist organization. We experience it every day in Israel now.
The proof is based on the exact definition of "terror". It has nothing to do with elections.

But I'm not sure that you or I have the time for this long proof...

Cheers,
Avner E.

To which Datsun said:

Are the Likud party dealing with drugs? Can you find me a dealers? Are they smuggling weapons? Are they’re killing People on the streets ?
Are they having truck loaded with explosives and killing Marine? Or they have a bus loaded with explosives and park it next mosque In Jaffa or any Arabs place?
No you have no proof . So please don’t make yourself fool.

Datsun

And here's my detailed explanation:

No, the Likud doesn't do any of that.
But that's not the essence of Terror.

Terror = extreme fear.
From Oxford dictionary: "The use of extreme fear to intimidate people."
https://www.lexico.com/definition/terror

That is exactly what terror does.
It does not necessarily have to do with physical violence.

The best definition of Terror was given by Prof. Yuval Noah Harari. He demonstrated it by an image of a mosquito, who wants to destroy a porcelain shop. The little bug can't do it himself, but he can sting an elephant, and the big animal will go crazy, and destroy the shop for the mosquito.

This is what a typical terrorist organisation does: it wishes to make a big damage, but it is too small to take over an entire country. So it does small (usually violent) actions, which affects a small number of people (even 3,000 dead is a small number, compared to the casualties of a war; but usually terrorist kill just a few dozens). The panic in the public, makes the government start a war, in which hundreds of thousands are killed. Mission accomplished (for the little terrorist organization, not for George Bush...).

The same is done by the Likud. Without the physical violence, but as I said, violence is not the point.
They stigmatize people with labels, such as "Leftist", "anarchist", "Arab-lover"; They publish embarrassing stories from the past about politicians who are not obedient to the Likud policy; They send the police to fine people 5,000 Shekels for not wearing masks in demonstrations; they give tickets to parking cars (Beitar fans never get such tickets, when they park on the walkways during football games); and fear is doing the rest for them. People are so afraid, that they won't go to protests (with which they agree 100%).

This is exactly the definition of Terror, in the service of political goals. The Likud members Miki Zohar, Amir Ohana, Miri Regev and others, have mastered this technique to perfection.

BTW, there is another reason that I said, that Hizballah is not more a terrorist organization than the Likud. Hizballah, like the Hamas, are political organisation, which are also engaged in Terrorism. Hizballah is a major part of the Lebanese parliament, and Hamas is the leading movement of Gaza strip, providing welfare, jobs and civic services to the public, in addition to its military activity.

Hizballah is even less engaged with Terrorism, because most of the time it is fighting against an ordinary army (and one of the strongest in the world at that), and NOT against civilians. It is much more a military than a terrorist organisation.

To summarize, the Likud is not engaged in violence DIRECTLY (only through mercenaries - have you heard about the Judo-Nazi organisation La-Familia? They are being used by the Likud to attack protesters, much like the Sturmabteilung - SA); but other than the violent activity (which is NOT an essential part of terrorism) - they are using the same tactics, in order to intimidate and influence the public.

Avner E.

The Demagogues Hit (Again)

Here is another thread of a discussion I had with a hard-to-get-it guy.

The conversation commenced with the following piece about a horrible terror attack in a Jewish settlement.

The scene of Friday night’s terror attack in Halamish. Photo Credit: Israel "Defense" (my quotes... A.E.) Forces

The world must see this
by Eli Rubenstein, JULY 22, 2017

The picture below is the scene of Friday night’s terror attack in Neve
Tzuf, a small Israeli town in the Judean Hills. What started as a
family Shabbat dinner left a father, son, and daughter dead and a
mother in critical condition after a teenage Palestinian terrorist
entered the home and began stabbing the family members while children
hid in a closet. Were it not for the miracle of an IDF soldier nearby
who neutralized the terrorist, the incident would have been much more
horrific than it already is.

The world must see this picture; a picture which, in another reality
at the same time and place could have shown a family enjoying their
Shabbat dinner. Instead, you see blood from terror victims covering
the kitchen floor.

The world must see how this terrorist will be venerated in Palestinian
society. When word broke of the attack in Gaza, celebrations took
place in the street. Soon, his family will start receiving payments
from the Palestinian Authority, which in 2016 payed $170 million to
terrorists and their families. Maybe, years from now, he will have a
square named after him, like Khaled Nazzal, who killed 26 Israelis
after taking schoolchildren and their teachers hostage in the Ma’alot
Massacre, or Dalal Mughrabi, who killed 38 civilians after hijacking
two buses and throwing grenades at cars passing by.

The world must realize how the terrorist, a young person who at one
point must have had hopes and dreams like everyone else, could lead
himself to murder an Israeli family in cold blood. The reason he did
this is not because of “occupation” or metal detectors at the Temple
Mount. The reason this attack occurred is because the Palestinian
leadership injects hatred into its citizens from the day they are
born. It is because the Palestinian leadership knows that such a
corrupt regime as itself can only survive by placing blame for their
problems on the Jews and perpetuating a cycle of violence. Palestinian
children learn in textbooks that they must grow up to be martyrs in
order to create a Palestinian state free of Jews. When they go home,
they watch shows like Pioneers of Tomorrow, where the hosts like
Nahoul the Bee and Assud the Rabbit die because of Israel. In Assud’s
debut show, his brother Nahoul died because he was sick and was unable
to get medical treatment. Assud and the child host pledge to “liberate
al-Aqsa from the filth of those Zionists,” while Assud tells a young
caller that he will eat Jews. In a later episode, Assud dies from an
Israeli airstrike, but not before being sentenced by viewers to have
his hand cut off for stealing.

The world must understand that Palestinian leaders have fostered a
culture of death. They have brainwashed their people to believe that
the source of their problems is the Jews, rather than their own failed
leadership. Instead of building a country, they have kept their people
living in a state of perpetual victimhood, encouraging their youth to
launch rockets and martyr themselves instead of building
infrastructure and creating jobs for their people.

The world must realize that they too are responsible for this. The
Arab countries have kept Palestinians in refugee camps and denied them
equal rights, while the United Nations has done nothing but perpetuate
this problem my making them the only group of refugees in the world
that passes down their refugee status to the next generation. This
helps them continue promoting the issue of a ‘Right of Return’ and
provides fuel to the anti-Israel cause. The Western World has largely
turned a blind eye to Palestinian extremism, instead preferring to
chastise Israel for building homes and demand Israel allow the
creation of a terror state within its borders.

The world must see this picture, the blood of a dead family covering
the floor of their kitchen, because it speaks volumes about the
current situation. It is time to stop pretending that Israel has a
partner for peace, because it does not. While this was done under the
guise of protesting metal detectors at the Temple Mount, it is much
more than that – it is the culmination of years of incitement by
Palestinian leaders and years of the world turning a blind eye.

The world must see this, because the world must see the truth.

Adopt a Terrorist

In another response to "The essence of the Middle East conflict for 5 minutes", my friend Nissan sent me this:

OH, IF WE COULD ONLY DO THIS!

I CAN'T IMAGINE ANYONE IN THE CURRENT USA OR UK CHAIN-OF-COMMAND COMPOSING SUCH A BRILLIANT RESPONSE!!

Adopt a Terrorist.- Too Good to Miss

The Canadians know how to handle complaints. Here is an example.
A Canadian female liberal wrote a lot of letters to the Canadian government, complaining about the treatment of captive insurgents (terrorists) being held in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities. She demanded a response to her letter. She received back the following reply:

National Defense Headquarters
M Gen George R. Pearkes Bldg., 15 NT
101 Colonel By Drive
Ottawa , ON K1A 0K2
Canada

Dear Concerned Citizen,

Thank you for your recent letter expressing your profound concern of treatment of the Taliban and Al Qaeda terrorists captured by Canadian Forces, who were subsequently transferred to the Afghanistan Government and are currently being held by Afghan officials in Afghanistan National Correctional System facilities.

Our administration takes these matters seriously and your opinions were heard loud and clear here in Ottawa . You will be pleased to learn, thanks to the concerns of citizens like yourself, we are creating a new department here at the Department of National Defense, to be called 'Liberals Accept Responsibility for Killers' program, or L.A.R.K. for short.

In accordance with the guidelines of this new program, we have decided, on a trial basis, to divert several terrorists and place them in homes of concerned citizens such as yourself, around the country, under those citizens personal care. Your personal detainee has been selected and is scheduled for transportation under heavily armed guard to your residence in Toronto next Monday.

Ali Mohammed Ahmed bin Mahmud is your detainee, and is to be cared for pursuant to the standards you personally demanded in your letter of complaint. You will be pleased to know that we will conduct weekly inspections to ensure that your standards of care for Ahmed are commensurate with your recommendations.

Although Ahmed is a sociopath and extremely violent, we hope that your sensitivity to what you described as his 'attitudinal problem' will help him overcome those character flaws. Perhaps you are correct in describing these problems as mere cultural differences. We understand that you plan to offer counseling and home schooling, however, we strongly recommend that you hire some assistant caretakers.

Please advise any Jewish friends, neighbours or relatives about your house guest, as he might get agitated or even violent, but we are sure you can reason with him. He is also expert at making a wide variety of explosive devices from common household products, so you may wish to keep those items locked up, unless in your opinion, this might offend him. Your adopted terrorist is extremely proficient in hand-to-hand combat and can extinguish human life with such simple items as a pencil or nail clippers. We advise that you do not ask him to demonstrate these skills either in your home or wherever you choose to take him while helping him adjust to life in our country.

Ahmed will not wish to interact with you or your daughters except sexually, since he views females as a form of property, thereby having no rights, including refusal of his sexual demands. This is a particularly sensitive subject for him.

You also should know that he has shown violent tendencies around women who fail to comply with the dress code that he will recommend as more appropriate attire. I'm sure you will come to enjoy the anonymity offered by the burka over time. Just remember that it is all part of 'respecting his culture and religious beliefs' as described in your letter.

You take good care of Ahmed and remember that we will try to have a counselor available to help you over any difficulties you encounter while Ahmed is adjusting to Canadian culture.

Thanks again for your concern. We truly appreciate it when folks like you keep us informed of the proper way to do our job and care for our fellow man. Good luck and God bless you.

Cordially,
Gordon O'Connor

The Oslo Accord, Settlements, and anti-Semitism

Dear readers,

Here is another interesting correspondence that I had with Mr. Shamrak:

Me: "Check out the recent increase in anti-Semitism (the real one), it's all because of the occupation."
Shamrak: "The sharp rise of anti-Semitism began immediately after the Oslo agreement!"

First, that's another "inaccuracy" of yours (this is in order not to say the L word).
Check the chart below:

The chart above was taken from the Anti-Defamation League web site: www.adl.org , which you should consider a reliable source. I met with their Director, Mr. Abe Foxman. This is by no means a Leftist organization.
The chart clearly shows a decline in anti-semitist events, following the year 1993 (when the Oslo process began). There is, however, a clear rise after the year 2000, the year that the negotiations failed, and the Second Intifada started, during which the Israeli military killed hundreds of innocent Palestinians.
So, with all my resentment to anti-semitism, like any other form of racism - I can't blame them for being antisemitic.

Not only did the occupation not subside, but on the contrary - since 1993 the number of Jewish settlers has grown by 150%, as of 2008! That's 2.5 times over:

(source: Israel Bureau of Statistics).
In addition, it's interesting to look at the correlation between Anti-Semitic incidents, and the number of victims of Israeli terror, among Palestinians.
After 1993, there has been a steady decline in casualties; which fits well the trend of anti-semitist events. But then, after 2000, the number of dead Palestinians has sharply increased again. Here are the data:
Between 1987 (first Intifada) and 1993, 1,100 Palestinians were killed by the IDF, and another 62 by Israeli civilians. Among those, 241 and 13, respectively, were minors under 17. That's an average of 157 and 9 killed per year, respectively. Clearly, many if not most of the dead were innocent people.
After 1993 and on to 2000, however, the number dropped to 39 per year (a reduction of 75%). Notice, however, that the Israeli civilians (most of them settlers) who killed Palestinians, were not so impressed by the Oslo accord, and their average per year remained at around 7.
Then, between 2001 and 2008, a staggering number of 4,791 Palestinians were killed by the IDF, that's 532 per year.
No wonder that the Palestinians hated us more than the usual, before 1993 and after 2000.

Avner

An answer to Steven Shamrak, vol. 5

*Obama Appointed Self-Hating Anti-Semitism Czar.

*by Aaron Klein***

In her first major interview since becoming President Obama's newly
appointed anti-Semitism czar (it took Obama a while to find an
ideologically compatible self-hating Jew to fill the position), Hannah
Rosenthal blasted the Israeli government. She characterized as "most
unfortunate" a decision by Michael Oren, Israel's ambassador to the
United States, to not attend the annual dinner in September of J
Street, a (self-appointed) lobby group that is mostly led by
left-leaning (anti-Israel and anti-Jewish)
here's another thinking-challenged demagogue, who can't comprehend the basic fact of life, that there could be smart people who think different than him.

Israelis and receives funds
from Arab and Muslim Americans... J Street supports talks with Hamas,
a terrorist group
Not more terrorist than the IDF
whose charter seeks the destruction of Israel. The
group opposes sanctions against Iran and is harshly critical of
Israeli offensive anti-terror military actions.
That’s because the "military actions" are even worse terrorist actions than those of the Hamas.

Regarding a recent UN report, accusing Israel of war crimes during
the Jewish state's defensive war in Gaza last year, Rosenthal told
Haaretz, "it is not anti-Semitic to look at a certain policy of Israel
and say - I disagree with it. Half of the population in Israel isn't
anti-Semitic by not agreeing with policies." (If this is so, will she
call for the investigation of war crimes allegedly committed by the US
army in Afghanistan and Iraq?)
Of course!

*When civilians actively have been supporting Islamic terrorism
against the state of Israel and actively participated in or covered
the hostile actions of enemies during the war, as they have been doing
in Afghanistan and Iraq. Therefore they became * enemy combatants
<http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Enemy_combatant>
. Killing them is not a war crime! The UN's high-priced international
lawyers know this, but anti-Semitic international politicians are
still waging an anti-Israel smear campaign!
By this definition (to which I don't agree), most of the Jewish residents of Israel are "enemy combatants" and are entitled to be killed.

Arabs and Druze are Most Murderous Israelis. While Arab and Druze
Israelis constitute 20% of the country's population, they accounted
for 59% of the country's murders. Out of 121 murders in Israel in
2009, 71 were committed by or among Arabs and Druze. The vast majority
of criminal bombings occurred in the minority sector, particularly the
Arab sector, where 85 events of planting bombs and 65 of throwing
grenades at targets were recorded
By whom? Those are sheer lies.

In Spite of Having Oil. A report published by the United Nations
Development Program and the Arab League shows that 40% of people in
Arab countries live under the poverty line, a figure that has not
changed over the past 20 years. In addition, unemployment among young
people in the Arab world ranks among the highest in the world.
This is actually true.

Message to anti-Israel Objectors.

by Steven Shamrak

You would like to call and see yourself as genuine and objective
supporters of a just cause but you never worry about the factual
correctness of the anti-Israel information you are using. Quite often
you knowingly using forged information and even deliberately make fake
accusations or twist the facts in order to make an anti-Israel smear.
When we show you factual proof that so-called Palestinians are a fake
nation and are actually the occupiers of Jews' land, you dismiss it as
Zionist propaganda.
No, we dismiss it based on real facts, not wishful thinking. The Palestinians are here and nobody can tell any group of people that they are not a nation, if they feel that they are.
Years of suicide bombings and rocket attacks
against Jews in Israel are unable to shake off your support for
terrorists
that's because of years of massive killings of innocent Palestinians by the Israeli "defense" forces.

If you are not anti-Semites, why don't you care so much about the
occupation of: Tibet by China; Basque region by Spain and France;
Northern Ireland by the United Kingdom; Kurdistan by five countries;
Kashmir by India and Pakistan; Western Sahara by Morocco? Where is
your concern about the fate of refugees created by the war in Congo,
the genocidal policy of the Sudanese government and so on?
Yes we do, there is no contradiction.

Avner Efendowicz

An answer to Steven Shamrak, vol. 4

Dear readers,

I guess you know the routine already… here goes:

IDF Can when Politicians Want. Security Services in partnership with

soldiers of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) killed the murderers of
Rabbi Meir Avshalom Chai. All three were convicted terrorists who had
been committed to and later released from Israeli prisons.
This is actually killing without trial, which is considered a severe crime in any civilized country, except, of course, Israel.

*Goldstone Report Works Both Ways.* Fifteen Israelis who were injured
by Kassam rockets from Gaza Arab terrorists during Operation Cast Lead
have filed a lawsuit against Hamas in a Belgian court. The Israelis
are demanding that Belgian authorities issue international arrest
warrants for senior Hamas terrorists, including Khaled Mashaal, Ismail
Haniyeh, Mahmoud a-Zahar, Ahmad Jabbari, and Muhammad Deff. Part of
the case rests upon the Goldstone report, which ruled that Kassam
rocket fire by Hamas was a violation of international law, and that
the court could not ignore the case.
Good luck!

*Swastikas on Walls of Ancient Synagogue near Hevron.** * A group of
Jews, in a rare visit to the ruins of an ancient synagogue in a PA
controlled village southwest of Hevron, was shocked to discover that
swastikas had been scrawled on the walls. (No international outrage.
It was not even covered by the mainstream news! Why is Arab/Muslim
thuggery not news worthy?)
Interestingly, no word from you about anti-Arab and anti-Islamic graffiti, which is left intact for years on the walls of Arab neighborhoods, whose legal residents were forced out by the apartheid Israeli regime.

The Result of Non-Jewish Migration and Political Apathy. 1. The
government discussed imposing limitations on the sale of alcoholic
beverages. Under the proposed rules, individuals under 21 will not be
able to purchase alcoholic beverages, and no sales will be permitted
after 11 PM. In addition, drinking in public places would be
prohibited, and alcohol will be sold only in specially licensed
stores. 2. Five men were stabbed in a mass brawl that broke out in
Kiryat Gat early on Saturday a week ago over music blasting from a
car. ''The husband (of kiosk owner) was stabbed and seriously wounded.
A number of passersby came to his aid, and four more people were
stabbed,'' said a police spokeswoman.
So you are suggesting that only non-Jews drink and commit crimes? How low can you go, you racist low-life?

Hypocrisy of the Headlines.* *

*Israel feels tarnished as critics apply apartheid tag...

* - Why don't Arabs feel 'tarnished' wearing the well deserved tag of
blood-thirsty terrorists, anti-crusaders bigots and heroin pushers?
Where are the headlines about it?
Because there are equally blood-thirsty terrorists among the Jews in this land.

*Opposition to Rabin Bank Note.** *Bank of Israel was asked by Land
of Israel activists to reconsider its decision to put the portrait of
former Prime Minister Yitzchak Rabin on bank notes: "Let it be clearly
understood that Rabin's image was controversial... Rabin caused
inestimable and indescribable damage to the state of Israel." (And it
is conveniently forgotten that Yitzhak Rabin was a Haganah commander
who carried out the attack on the Irgun weapon supply boat, the
Altalena, killing and wounding Jews and sinking the boat, at the time
when Jews needed weapons most!)
This is exactly why the late Rabin deserves a note. He fought against Jewish terrorists who were responsible for the killings of hundreds of innocent Arabs during the period 1931 - 1938. All documented by the Jewish underground Etze"l itself, in the book "Chronicles of the War for Independence," by Yaakov Amrami and Arieh Melitz, 1951.

An answer to Steven Shamrak, vol. 1

Dear readers,

Below is a response to an article I received by email, from Mr. Steven Shamrak.

Mr. Shamrak is a very knowledgeable individual, who runs a very patriotic "pro-Israeli" web site (from Australia), called "Shamrak's report" (http://www.shamrak.com/ .

If you read further, you will figure out for yourselves why I put "pro-Israeli" in big quotes.

I embedded my humble response to his claims, marked with yellow highlighting. I hope that you find this interesting, maybe even entertaining.

Why is Israel Suspicious of United Nations?

1. Before 1990, Security Council passed 175 resolutions, 97 were directed against Israel (It is 55% of all resolutions).

2. Before 1990, UN General Assembly voted on 690 resolutions, 429 were directed against Israel (It is 62% of all resolutions).

Where did you take those numbers from?

regardless, I agree that the UN is biased against Israel.

That doesn't mean, from a logical point of view, that Israel is innocent.

3. The UN was silent when Jordanians destroyed 58 Synagogues in Jerusalem.

4. The UN was silent while the Jordanians systematically desecrated the ancient Jewish cemetery on the Mount of Olives.

5. The UN was silent while the Jordanians enforced an apartheid-like policy of preventing Jews from visiting the Temple Mount and the Western Wall.

6. The UN was silent while for 18 months Israel was terrorized by indiscriminate suicide bombing campaign unleashed by PA leadership.

7. There are 60 Muslims countries in the UN. As well as many more are others Arab oil dependant states.

This is is like saying that over 100 Christian countries should take care of refugees from Ruanda (they are Catholic).

8. Israel is the ONLY MEMBER OF THE UN THAT IS NOT PERMITTED MEMBERSHIP ON THE SECURITY COUNCIL.

That is not true. you must be meaning that Israel WAS the only country not belonging to any geographical group from which members are selected. But since 2000 Israel is a temporary member of Western Europe.

9. Israel is the only country excluded from the U.N.'s regional group system… Since Israel does not belong to any group, it is the only country of 190 member states that is not eligible to serve on the numerous U.N. commissions…

See 8. above.

10. In recent years, the U.N. Commission on Human Rights has annually passed five resolutions condemning Israel. This year, they passed seven. By contrast, each of the following countries/regions has been the subject of only one resolution: Afghanistan, Burundi, Congo, Cuba, Iran, Iraq, Myanmar, Russia/Chechnya, Sierra Leone, Southeast Europe and Sudan

11. Nov. 29 is the United Nations Day of International Solidarity with the Palestinian People. No other people has a U.N. Day of Solidarity…

12. Israel is the only state to which a special investigator with "an open-ended mandate to inspect its human rights record" is assigned by the U.N.

13. It is the only state targeted by two special committees and special units of the U.N. Secretariat ostensibly devoted to the Palestinians but in reality dedicated to Israel-bashing worldwide, costing millions of dollars a year.

14. UNIFIL, the U.N. force stationed on the Israel-Lebanon border, hid a videotape of Israeli soldiers being abducted by Hezbollah in October 2000. After finally admitting to having the tape, the U.N. would only show an edited version (in which Hezbollah faces were hidden) to the Israeli government.

15. UNESCO, in Paris, began passing resolutions about protection of Jerusalem holy sites and access for Muslims in 1968. No resolutions about protection or Jewish access were passed from 1946 to 1967 when Jordan controlled Jerusalem and barred Jews from entering…

It is Time to "Leave Egypt"

by Steven Shamrak - August 31, 2002

It is Time to "Leave Egypt". I respect people who do not know and do not care about Arab-Israel conflict. They are honest enough to admit that paying bills and raising children is more important for them. At the same time, there is a danger when someone forms opinions under the influence of selectively presented information, provided by generally bias toward Israel in the press. People become attached to the belief system they have adopted and it is difficult to change it. I would like to tell them following:

1. Israel is on a front line of the war between Arab-Muslim expansionism and Western democracy. This war has already shifted to America and Europe.

2. According to UN own legal opinion: Judea, Samaria and Gaza does not belong to any country at the moment. Therefore, it is wrong to call them ‘Occupied territories’. They used to be a part of Jewish land. There was never Arab country in the Palestine.

Irrelevant.

3. So-called Palestinians are Arabs who moved to the territories during the last 130 year, after the Jews started re-vitalizing the land.

Irrelevant.

4. Arabs have no intention to live in peace with Jews.

This is racism.

5. Arabs respect charisma and strong leadership. It is the time for Israel and her government to show it and stop terror.

This is even worse racism.

6. Enemies and so-called friends have never treated Jewish people as equal. They will never support Israel unconditionally, They do not respect facts where Israel is concern (remember so-called Jenin massacre).

No one should support nobody "unconditionally". In fact, this is the biggest sin of American Jewery, for which many of them feel deep regrets, facing the acts of the Israeli governement.

7. After 54 years of wars and terror, it is time to “leave Egypt”, become an Independent nation, equal among equals. It is time to regain self-respect. No more double standards!

8. Israel was created to fulfill 2000 years old national inspiration of Jewish people. The time is Now!

Goal and Strategy of Islam.

by Steven Shamrak

September 11 and Bali bombing, unfortunately, did not bring the understanding of politics of Islam to the Western homes. Only after Madrid bombing population of the Western countries is coming out of the lethargic sleep. Too much attention was given to Arab-Israel conflict during the last 50 years. Too much responsibility for global terror committed by Muslim terrorists is blamed on Israel. Information about the real source of the conflict is still being concealed from the public.

According to Former Israeli Defense Minister Moshe Arens, Islam has a simple and direct four-point plan for establishing eventual world dominance. All steps are being implemented simultaneously:

1. Totally destroy and eliminate Israel as a country.

2. Defeat or neutralize the power of the United States by terrorism and world opinion. Destroy their will to stand-alone.

3. Bring all Muslim Nations into an Islamic Theocracy such as Iran.

4. Infiltrate all major European Countries, Canada, US and Australia with Islamic immigrants.

Moshe Arens is an aeronautic engineer. his knowledge about Islam is no better than anybody else's (but I still respect his views, he is one of very few honest persons in Israel's Right wing).

World domination of Islam is the Goal. It is time to realize it. The war is global. It had started when Mohamed began spreading “the true religion” around the world, some thirteen hundred year ago. It is the war for survival of Western civilization and Israel is just caught in the middle of the fight between two giant religious ideologies.

For hundreds of years, in the "middle ages", Islam was the culture of enlightenment, science and humanity, while Christianity, especially Catholicism, represented the worst type human persecution and cruelty.

today things have turned around to some extent (Christinan countries such as the US are still involved in large scale terrorism), but this has nothing to do with Religion.

Thoughts of an Israeli ex-soldier

Following the campaign in Gaza StripNew Year’s Eve, 2009

A good friend sent me one of those computer videos, accompanied by “A must see! Please watch and forward!” In the video, a little Israeli girl is counting from 1 to 15 before she uncovers her eyes in a hide-and-seek game. 15 seconds is the time that residents of Sederot and other towns in southern Israel have, in order to find shelter, before a Kassam rocket hits (hopefully) the ground.
A request followed that said “please sign the petition attached, so that people around the world would know how it feels to be a child in a town in Israel, well within the borderline of Israel proper”.
My reply was “sorry, but I can’t sign this, because children and other civilians in the Gaza strip don’t even have 1 second to hide”.
I am not saying this because I don’t feel compassion for the residents of the Negev (southern Israel). I am an Israeli, living in the Bay Area with my wife. My two sons are now in active duty in the Israeli military. On top of all, I grew up in Kiryat Sh’monah, a town on the northern tip of Israel, two miles from the Lebanese border. As a 7-year old, I still remember the first Katyusha rocket that hit my town, in 1968. Hundreds of similar rockets followed during my childhood and later on, when I was a soldier in the first Lebanon war.

The reason that I couldn’t sign this petition, was that it concentrated solely on the sorry fate of civilians in Israel, completely disregarding the full context of this conflict. By full context I mean – the Israeli occupation of Palestine. In particular, it disregarded the Palestinian side of the tragedy.
More than 300 people were killed in the first day of the Israeli campaign on Gaza. Many of them were police personnel, but many others were innocent civilians. “Who cares for those civilians, as long as people in Sederot and elsewhere can’t live in peace?” is a typical reaction among Israelis. Now, what kind of a society have we become, that we don’t care anymore for lives being lost? What kind of a country has to permanently be killing civilians to survive? Is this the country that the founders envisioned, when they strove to establish a normal country, where Jews would live in peace among their neighbors, like most other countries? Do we have to kill women and children to survive?
Some people would reply, “Well, you know, this is the Middle East. It’s a jungle out there. Those enemies of ours don’t understand talking. Violence is all they know.”
Those are tough arguments. But I think that there are good arguments to counter them.
The notion that all, or most, Arabs or Palestinians or Muslims, for that matter, are violent and cruel by nature, has a general term to classify it, and that is “Racism”. From all my experience in life, living in Israel and in the Bay Area, I developed a strong belief that we are all human beings. On average, under similar conditions, people from one ethnic group are not better nor worse than any others. It’s the particular situation that cause some people to behave differently.
The religion which used to be associated with so highly sophisticated and delicate culture, in the 350 years between the 10th and 14th century, namely the Islam, is now regarded as the most deadly and violent. It’s true, that many people living in Muslim countries today are living in poor, intolerant and violent conditions. But that has nothing to do with their religion – only with their political situation.
Check out the research of Dr. Philip Zimbardo of Stanford University and you will learn, that any group of people can be driven, under certain circumstances, to be cruel and evil.
And just as a side note, even if that was true, then what chance do we have, amongst hundreds of millions of “beasts”, to survive in the long run? The advantage of Israel over its neighbors has always been technological, and in my view, moral. But with moral values that are deteriorating, higher crime rates, and with an education system that is constantly going downhill, judging by its marks in international tests (I think that this is also related to the priorities set by the Israeli government) – do you really believe that we can maintain our edge forever?

Another common claim is this: we have pulled out of the Gaza Strip, haven’t we? What do they want now?
Well, I think they want what every normal nation wants – to manage their own lives. And we don’t let them, as long as the entire Gaza area is under siege. You can’t claim “the end of the occupation” when the people inside are not free.

But he Hamas is not willing to recognize Israel as a Jewish state! – one might say.
Yes, so? Did Israel ever recognize the right of a Palestinian state to exist? I mean with real actions, not just declarations. The fact is, that 250,000 Jewish settlers still live, in what all International bodies see as illegal settlements – in fact, the Israeli government itself declared a few dozens of them as illegal – but so far did practically nothing to evacuate them.

Now let’s leave the moral considerations aside for a moment, and just ask ourselves, on a practical level: what does Israel hope to achieve in this campaign?
The release of Gilad Shalit, the Israeli soldier held captive by Hamas for more than two years – was not even declared as a goal. At least that we have learnt from the previous, “Second Lebanon War”. That war started after three soldiers were kidnapped by Hezbolla, and the campaign failed in bringing them back alive.
The official goal is, obviously, to stop the shooting of Kassam, Grad, and other, longer range rockets. This will not happen, everybody knows that. Ehud Barak, the Secretary of Defense, knows that. He has already been the military Commander in Chief and Prime Minister. He tried to calm down all those who demanded “an iron fist”, saying that most of them never saw how real war looked like. This week, he was forced to start the air strikes, after the number of rocket attacks has reached a breaking point (and eventually, a man was killed in Netivot). If Barak believes that there is a way to stop the shooting, even temporarily, then why did he wait so long? I am afraid that it was because at some point, the pressure on Barak caused him more political damage than the result of a military operation would do. Election day is coming up in February, and Mr. Barak, the head of the Labor party, is a candidate for Prime Minister.
How is the operation doing, you ask? Well, so far so good. Approval rate for Barak has risen 50%.
The sad reality, for both Palestinians and Israelis, is that none of them has any option to inflict violence on the other, without hurting their own cause. The Israeli military can kill many more people, but this would only cause more anguish, more hatred, and there will always be enough material and means for the rest of the population, to make more Kassam rockets. An oppressed population is like a dragon with multiple heads: unless you kill it in its entirety, it will have enough power and motivation to fight back, especially when they have nothing to lose but their misery.
The Palestinians, too, are hurting their own cause when they support the Hamas, which declares the annihilation of Israel as its goal. But this is where the symmetry breaks down: how can we judge somebody, who is so desperate as to support the only organization which puts some food on their table? Every side feels its own suffering, but fails to recognize that the other side suffers too. But in the case of Israel, being the more powerful side by far, the notion of being the victim is quite ridiculous, even considering the pain and fear that Israelis feel.
The Hamas has never been so popular before the Palestinian Authority was crashed by Israel. In many polls and programs, such as the Geneva Initiative (http://www.geneva-accord.org/) or the National Census (http://www.mifkad.org.il/), hundreds of thousands of people from both sides expressed their willingness to accept each other’s right for independence. This means that essentially, most Palestinians (who are not zealously religious), would not vote for Hamas if they had a decent alternative.
Unfortunately, they don’t. And Israelis don’t either. These two peoples, which possess so much talent in all areas of life, lack the one thing which could bring them hope for peaceful co-existence: brave and smart leadership. We need our own De-Gaulle, or our own Churchill, or our own Obama, for that matter. So that Jewish and Arab kids could play hide-and-seek, and won't have to worry about finding shelter in 15 seconds. Our own Obama is hiding somewhere in the academy, or in the high-tech industry, but he (or she) is definitely not in today’s political system.

Terror and Non-Violence

Some people have been constantly accusing me of justifying Terror.

Well, in the best case, they just don’t understand my arguments, even though I keep repeating them over and over again, in the clearest way possible. In the worst case, they do understand, but pretend not to; I suspect that they either are out of good arguments, in which case the easiest way is to turn to Demagogy. “You are justifying Terror!” usually works, at least on some listeners, because it uses emotions rather that rational arguments. Emotions sell. Or, they are capable of using good, rational claims, but they think that their listeners can’t understand them. This say something about the credit they give to the audience.

So, let’s state it one more time, loud and clear. I don't justify Terror. “Terror” in its simplest meaning, namely killing innocent people to achieve a political goal, is a terrible crime, regardless of how just and right the goal is.
But in order to be consistent, I can't justify terror from any side, be it the Hamas, or the IDF. The Israeli “Defense” Forces have killed more civilians than all the Arab terrorists combined; I see the killings by the IDF as terror too.
All I said about the Arabic terror was that it worked, from their viewpoint. That's the tragedy! Because of our stubbornness, the most horrible means is also the most effective one: the vast majority of the Jewish public in Israel came to agree to a Palestinian state (which was unspeakable 20 years ago), not because we are so merciful, but because of the Palestinian Terror.

Let’s review the case of "Mahatma" Ghandy. I agree, that the right thing to do by the Palestinians is to carry out a non-violent struggle. This is our worst nightmare: Thousands of Arabs marching into the military outposts and checkpoints. What would the military do? If they don't open fire, then they will prevail and essentially wipe us out. If they do open fire, then hundreds will be willed. Now let’s put aside the question, whether the dead would be innocent or not. Just the international impact of this, will force is to end the occupation.
So, from my stand point, that would be an ideal solution.
The problem is that for this to happened, the Palestinians will have to make a sacrifice of a few hundreds, maybe thousands. I don't think that we can demand from them to do that.

I see the solution in a totally different way than most Israelis. I understand that they think that I'm fantasizing, and I respect that. But, I honestly think that they are the ones who are fantasizing, if they think that we can keep on with this occupation forever. Let's assume the most optimistic scenario, that there will be no Terror attack on us from now on (I wish that this would be true); If we don't agree to give back the occupied Territories, then the Palestinians will eventually dismiss the Palestinian Authority (PA), and demand from Israel to annex all the Territories, and to establish one state with 6 million Jews and more than 6 millions Arabs. Is that what we want?
Personally, I don't care; but I know that for most Jews in Israel, this would be a nightmare.

Freedom of Speach on the Test

Somebody very dear to me published the following on ISO, the Israeli Students forum at Stanford University:

Amir that is quoted in the Article, he is Anita's & Gabi's son. He is the president of Hillel at SJSU.
And he was the one that design the shirt with the slogan "if I were a suicide bomber, you were Dead."

Sederot, Kassam-rockets and the Symmetry of Terror

Achlama Peretz, a Sederot resident and the wife of Amir Peretz, said that Sederot needed more employment and education, before security. That's what I said when I lived in Kiryat Shmona.

The best defense that Israel can provide is to make peace. The Disengagement plan is not making peace, and my humble opinion is that whoever expected the fire to stop, doesn't understand the situation. If the Palestinians stopped the fire, then there was no reason to give them anything else. We in the left would be willing to give them, but we are not the majority and certainly this evil government (like all governments preceding it) isn't going to do anything without pressure.

Now if you think that I am justifying the firing of Kassam rockets on Sederot, then I must say this: I think that there's a difference between justifying, and realizing that an immoral measure, such as Kassam or suicide bombing, is effective, and maybe even the ONLY way for the Palestinians to achieve their goal; as for their goal, I think that it is a just one.
One can say, that in that sense, the Kassams are just like the bombing of Israel on Gaza. Because you can regard the Israeli bombing as either:
(1) A necessary evil, one that we cannot live without, therefore it is morally OK (I believe that this is the opinion of most Israelis, which I respect as a legitimate opinion).
(2) Immoral, but one that may be the only way to achieve some security to Israelis.
(3) Immoral, because there are other ways.
Suppose that I sided with opinion no. (2). Then I would say that we are no different from them. Here is why:
Imagine the following situation: A man is constantly harassed and intimidated by a gang of criminals. They beat him, steal from him, and the police is doing nothing to stop it. In his despair, he takes a gun and kills one of the gang. The harassment stops immediately. Was the killing justified? No!! Was there another way to do justice? Who knows. Would we do the same if we were in the same situation? I cannot swear that I wouldn't. Ehud Barak, in a rare moment of honesty for a politician, said (in an interview with Gideon Levy), that if he was a Palestinian he would become a terrorist. If one has the assertive character of Barak, and one is on this side, then he is brought up to be the opposite of the Jew of the Galut (Diaspora), he doesn't want to be a sucker, he becomes a super-hero and a brilliant General. But, if you are on the other side and you don't want to be a sucker, you become a terrorist.

Take Nasrallah (of Hezbollah) for instance. He is ordering to kill civilians, and so does Lieutenant General Halutz (IDF Commander-in-Chief). He wants to destroy Israel, and so do most of our politicians, to the Palestinians. So I think that there is no difference. We are not fighting now for our security, because this fighting will not bring us any security in the long run. We may kill Nasrallah, just like we killed Abas El-Musaui (his predecessor), but another one will come instead. We can't kill them all. Therefore we are only fighting for our stupid "honor", but in the meantime we are only being humiliated by a primitive guerrilla movement. I don't see an end to that until we really make peace with them. They are teaching us an important lesson, and that is: we cannot do everything by force. Therefore it's not a shame to say to them: "all right, you win, we were arrogant to think that we could solve all of our problems with force, now we realize that it can't be done. Let's give you your independent state and live in peace."

But of course this will not happen, because we will not learn this lesson. Because out "Dignity" is more important to us than the lives of young soldiers and a few hundreds of Israeli and Palestinians and Lebanese civilians. And because a guy like Nasrallah will not agree to that, and they will use our arrogance to keep fighting. I believe that most Arabs are willing to live in peace with us, but of course we wont be fooled by them... So the fighting will continue until your sons and mine and their sons will go to the military, and fight too until we will all say: enough.
