This is a very good example, of how the Right in Israel are trying to lie to the public, and to hide their own crimes.
Netanyahu and his criminal family (his wife already convicted, and got away from a 385,000 Shekel fine, with the help of their family adviser - the same Dr. Mandelblit; he dropped 6 out of 7 of her cases; she was convicted in the 7th one, for steeling 385,000 from the country - and she was fined only 55,000. Call me Donald Trump if she is going to pay the 55,000).
This family is now being indicted in court, for major bribery and other severe crimes, on the scale of millions; This is without mentioning the allegation (very well founded) of cashing out from a huge Submarine deal, one of which was sold to Egypt, in secret and against the professional opinion of all major security personnel. These are all facts.
In order to distract the public from the above severe crimes - the Right is pointing out to the "crime" of Dr. Mandelblit (to remind you - the one nominated by the same criminal Netanyahu, who is known to nominate people not for their service to the country, but for their loyalty - see the bunch of losers who serve as Ministers); and what is this "crime"? - that he failed to report to the police, about a forged document, and reported ONLY AFTER 1 DAY. Wow, what a crime.
The Supreme court of Israel (maybe you are one of those who think that this is not a credible institution, which runs a vendetta against Netanyahu?...) - this court stated that Dr. Mandelblit acted perfectly in this matter.
So, if you think that Mandelblit crime compares in any way to the ones committed by the Mafia family of Netanyahu, his bitch ugly wife (from the inside I mean), and his low-life loser, porn-addict son - if this is the case, then I'm afraid that this will be the end of our debate, because I don't have any more to say...

Actually, with all my criticism about Dr. Mandelblit - I think that basically he is a person of integrity, who just slipped and failed to do his job quickly enough (he was just too hesitant and cautious), maybe because he didn't want to jeopardize his chance for the supreme court. But basically he did his job.
But - I think that you missed just one important point in my reply: if you accuse Mandelblit for being a "criminal" (this is a harsh word which I would save for criminals of the scale of Netanyahu, his 2nd cousin Shimron, Maidoff, and such), and because he failed to charge Netanyahu - if so, then you are still playing into the hands of people you may object, i.e. Netanyahu supporters; because they, accuse Mandelblit for the opposite - that he charged Netanyahu AT ALL!! And they are using this minor incident with Askenazi - as a distraction, claiming that Mandelblit is "also" a criminal - just because he "cooperated" with Ashkenazi (for 24 hours of pondering on the matter).
What do you say of that, of you giving ammunition to the people who try to get Netanyahu away from his due punishment?...

The point is that they are using this (minor or major) incident, in order to discredit Madelblit, by comparing his crime to the crimes of Netanyahu. Will you cooperate with that?
